The Loss of Mark Russell

It is with great sadness that we must accept the loss of this great man and teacher, Mark Russell. Mark was involved in a freak riding accident on June 12th 2016. He worked tirelessly to help his students and their horses work as partners and prepared each horse to be receptive to learning before layering in information. Although the Art that Mark created was the development of educated horses who were joyful and sound, safety

Baroque Equestrian Games Classical Championship, Expo, and Grand Gala

BEGI1

“Art Form Dressage is a form of dressage that seeks to eradicate all negative tension in the horse allowing the horse to perform high level movements with energy/impulsion in total relaxation. To elevate the act of riding to Art is a journey often sought, but rarely found as this path is littered with obstacles from both within the horse and within ourselves; and within the relationship between the two. It is an approach to riding

Where are all of the 2014 clinics?

DiegoMarkFav

We have have been fielding a lot of questions about why so few clinics in 2014, and we have been having to decline many new clinic sites for this year as well. The answer to these questions lies in the fact that Mark has needed to take some personal time to work with his own horses, focus on some personal projects, and last but not least take some time off! We are pleased that approximately

Some Commonly Asked Questions from Prospective Students

Events

Prospective students often ask us whether they are appropriate for one of Mark’s clinics. If you love your horse and want to learn the answer is always “yes”.

Common concerns are whether the rider or the horse is ‘advanced’ enough, whether the horse is too young or green, whether Mark accepts riders who have learned from another trainer or training system. Also common are the “I have a gaited/western/trail/competitive/non-competitive/young/green/old horse may I come participate” questions.
